Open Records

Requests

To receive records maintained by and in the custody of the Kentucky Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet (TAHC), Department of Parks, please submit your request in writing, identifying the specific records sought. Please ensure that you provide your name, address, and daytime telephone number in case we need to contact you. All requests for records must be signed by the requester.

Open Records Request

KCAAH has five (5) business days from the date of receipt to respond to an open records request. If the documents requested are not available for release within five (5) days, a response will be provided informing the requester of the approximate date on which the requested documents will be available for inspection.

Board & Annual Meetings

The Kentucky Center for African Heritage will convene its 2025-26 Board meetings pursuant to

KRS 148.570, the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage board shall meet at least three (3) times per year.

Dates and Times for 2025-26 meetings:

  • Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 4 pm
  • Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 4 pm
  • Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 4 pm

The meeting locations are at the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage and online via YouTube.
